Lisa C. Demidovich

Lisa Demidovich joined the firm as a partner in 2016, bringing wide-ranging experience representing unions and their members in state and federal court, at arbitration hearings, before administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board, and at the bargaining table. Ms. Demidovich regularly advises unions representing workers in the fields of entertainment, education, construction and transportation.

Ms. Demidovich is passionate about assisting in internal and external organizing campaigns by developing creative legal strategies to protect workers and maximize their voices and power in the workplace. Before joining the firm, Ms. Demidovich served as General Counsel to United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals during a period of tremendous membership growth through numerous successful organizing and contract campaigns.

Ms. Demidovich has served as counsel in class and representative actions in the areas of labor, employment, civil rights, and constitutional law, where she successfully brought and defended against summary judgment; served as lead counsel in writ and NLRB trials, administrative hearings, and numerous arbitration hearings; authored briefs in cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth and D.C. Circuits, California Supreme Court, and California Court of Appeal; and prevailed in post-judgment and attorneys’ fees motions.

Ms. Demidovich clerked for the Honorable Kim McLane Wardlaw of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Demidovich has spoken at numerous labor law conferences. She has authored several articles regarding a wide range of labor and employment law topics, and has served as chapter editor for the treatise How to Take a Case Before the NLRB. During law school, Ms. Demidovich gained invaluable legal experience at NLRB Region 12 in Tampa, AFL-CIO Office of the General Counsel, Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, and private law firms.

Ms. Demidovich is a past president of the Orange County Labor and Employment Relations Association, and is a member of the ABA Committee on International Labor and Employment Law, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and AFL-CIO Union Lawyers Alliance.
